Very cool little collection.
Saw this the other day. The thing that surprised me was that the gold on the 79 was actually more of a tan. I don’t think there was much (or any) metallic to it.

Space is at a prem

heh. love the ‘weird world of lotus’ theme. my collection is more along the lines of ‘significant lotus F1 cars’
, and thus i have the 25, 49 (gold leaf, graham hill — really wanted a clark one) and
72 (gold leaf, jochen rindt) and 79 (andretti, obviously — some kind soul actually put the JPS decals on this one and i got it for a wholly reasonable price — i smiled for days.)
i really want to get the long beach-trim lotus 88 though - that car fascinates me endlessly.

It’s actually the JPS-Lotus section of my strange collection(although not strange, the E20 got a pass because of Kimi). Aside from JPS I have a Dutch GP 56B to show the evolution to wings on the “door stop” too.
I also have the Emerson Fittipaldi 56B in 1:18 to display without bodywork next to a 1:18 STP 56B Graham Hill Indy. Pulled the trigger on that one a little too soon. In hindsight I would have rather waited for the #60 with its painted tire. But what ever.

And that P34! Or is it?

I believe it’s a standard 4-wheeler.

I believe they used ‘tan’ because the original gold didn’t translate well on the TV screens. Hence why they lightened the colour.

Striking how long the wheelbase is on more current F1 cars.
